Bambusa Chungii

from 40.00

Also known as "baby blue bamboo" for its signature blue culms, this clumping bamboo is one of the earliest to emerge during the growing season (on the south shore of Lake Pontchartrain: mid-February). This variety reaches a total height of 30', with 1.5" diameter culms. Hardy to 20 degrees Fahrenheit.

Bambusa Chungii is a clumping bamboo. Clumping bamboos are non-invasive bamboos whose root systems ensure that plants will remain in small clusters of culms (or shoots). Planted together in rows, clumping bamboos offer homeowners a natural screen that requires little care.
